As is generally known following their extremely bad long range weather forecasts recently...they promised us a balmy summer remember...the weather guys havent a clue whats coming next week, never mind over long range. Its just soothsaying when they go beyond a couple of days so your guess is as good as mine as is good as the weatherman.
However I think the weather guy on the radio this morning said that it was the coldest october night in Scotland for 16 years. Although note that they are telling us this after the fact!!
So bearing that in mind it could be a white christmas if its freezing this early...it will certainly be white in the Cairngorms but as for Dover..well yes maybe. This gives me an excuse to put up a picture...will be back later.

I guess no. Down here and near the sea, unlikely, as Paul said Scotland is a strong possibility .

This delightful picture of The Castle was taken by Phil Eyden during last winter.

Fresh snow might look pretty but I would much rather have the rain. I might get wet but it is much safer to walk in, snow gets slushy and slippery underfoot as a result it is dangerous. I do not like being trapped indoors because it is too precarious underfoot to go out.
