I was walking the 65 miles from Newcastle to Carlisle via Hadrian's Wall, and it was wet and hailing as well. But unlike here they have no water shortage up North and I can prove that because of all the boggy mud holes I found my feet in.
It was surprising that the wind direction which is normally west to east was actually Northerly so the rain and hail landed in my right ear instead of full facial.3 and a half days later we arrived in Carlisle half an hour late with blisters and sore calves from pulling all that mud.We raised over £600 and I raised £325 so far for Children with Diabetis.
Just to add to the punishment on Sat night we went to see the Osmonds!!!!
