    Kelvin's still around Marek, he's a whizzkid at gardening jobs now although he still helps out at the London Road butcher from time to time.

    A little anecdote. One Christmas I was on my way back from the early morning dog walk when I met him waiting for Ron the butcher to open up. "I wish he'd get a move on" said Kelvin. "Why?" I enquired. He said that he didn't like hanging about as he had his "tools of trade" with him. He opened his coat and inside he had the largest collection of butchers knives I've ever seen.

    Strangely enough ,"misery guts" at the post office once had a float in the carnival. A mutual acquaintance phoned to TELL me to go and see him in the post office as he wanted ME to do HIM a favour. I gave the opinion that it was up to him to come and see me. He never did.
