Just back in from watering the Castle sSreet hanging baskets.
As per David H these are supplied and maintained by Castle Street Society. Following DHs request there are three of us watering daily (myself, Mike Mc Farnell and Addy Reidys grandson).
However the rest of Dover is bereft of hanging baskets or planters in Biggin Street
I know Roger W when BSM was attempting to get some "brightness" in Dover with planting. Also at a DTC Business Meeting it was indicated that maybe DTC would do some as DDC are no longer interested.
Go to Deal.Walmer or Sandwich and see the brightnees of their flower baskets and borders...I understand supported by local business and Town/Parish Councils.
Dover looks so dowdy compared with other towns that have good flower displays and does not give a welcoming sign to tourists that the town so badly needs for the town economy.
Its not too late to plant these so come on DDC/DTC lets make Dover bright
