Where are the Swans?

17 April 2013 08:16225633I recently took my Grandson to Kearsney Abbey.I hadnt been there for a couple of years and then there was loads of Swans.I can remember quite a few hobbling about and the swan warden telling me that many of them couldnt fly as they wasnt able to run along to gather speed for their takeoff.When i went there the other evening there was just 3 of them.None to be found in Russel gardens or Bushy ruff.Does anyone know where theyve all gone? - 17 April 2013 08:47225636I seem to remember they were moved elsewhere during the drought because the lake levels were dangerously low.I'm an optimist. Just to help you on this one sir,we moved the Swans out of Bushy Ruff some two years ago because there was no water in there just mud and ice,so we moved them out to a new home the Swan warden took them away after I called them out they will not be back,I know nothing about the ones in Kearsney Abbey we was over there a few weeks ago and they were there then but again they did cut back their numbers some years ago because we were told there was to many there.I did not agree with that.
