    NIGEL;
    Nice to know your still around, and yep people will be reminded by other parties i'm sure of your actions, and from the people i speak to(and many not labou supporters) they say your on borrowed time, so take it from me, these were not my words,

    As i'v stated on here i don't care who did what, or who first highlighted the issue, what's most important is something gets done.

    this posturing for glory does no one any justice.

    With regard to elected cllrs and unelected officers, this has always been the case, sadly not enough cllrs are willing to address this problem, but i do understand there are a number of reason's for this;

    1; cllrs are not around much(majority) that's no injustice to them, it's a fact of life
    they have other jobs/committments
    2; A lot happy for the officers to run the council
    3; cllrs don't recognise theres even a problem

    How you get over it? nope not got an answer to that, i always recall the ex chief executive of DDC trying to exclude me from a particular outside body, when i took him on he admitted he didnt feel cllrs were able to o hold confidence.

    every cllr signs to sa they will not give out information that they puton red paper or other stuff.
    but the mere fact than an OFFICER is able to even raise such issues should be a worry to all cllrs.
    but there you have it
    don't think it will change, under any administration.

    k
