    As far as I can remember, Nigel mentioned this to me a week or so before it came out on the forum. He was anxious to put a lid on it before it was blown out of proportion by political opponents. Unfortunately I think KCC is heavily officer-led and these things happen from time to time. John was right to bring it to public attention but Nigel was already walking the streets looking at the various sites. That's what politics is all about I suppose.

    But I still can't understand why the officers at KCC want to spend public money fixing things which ain't broke.
