Just an update and a few points clafified:

I was onto this before it appeared on this forum - action first - talk later.

Nobody pressed me into doing anything (I don't need pressing to do anything as those of you who know me will appreciate). As I was one of the first to see the suggestions I walked the town looking at all 18 sites constructively the following day. Railings are not always the best solution as there are numerous possibilities to address road safety.

During the first few days I also met with the Director of Highways and the Cabinet Member at KCC and received assurance that the issue would go to the Dover Joint Transportation Board for discussion - since then I have been advised that it will be on the agenda for the April meeting.

I have now walked the sites again this time with Kent Highway Services and their consultants, Jacobs, and the report to the JTB will have a few different ideas but this will hopefully fully be discussed fully at the JTB and each site dealt with separately.

I also have some assurances from KCC/Jacobs.

Regarding the forthcoming election - there may be one coming but your representatatives still have a duty to represent you - my way is act and then talk when there is something to tell.
