I note a story in the dover express online, that a car has been clamped for non paymeant of road tax up winchealsea way. police are taking it away tomorrow.

Apparently the chap took serious umbrage with the situation, scrawled a rude word on the windscreen then proceeded to beat his car up Basil Fawlty style.

I remember seing a few cars at Clarendon last year that had been clamped.Next day the chain had been cut,clamps left at the roadside and the cars were gone,they probably got away with it as i doubt the cars were registered to their then current owners.

There's a car currently clamped at the bottom of Crabble Hill, it does happen occasionally.
