There's been a ramp on Jubilee Way for months, and now there is a second one! What is happening with this major part of the transport infrastructure to the Eastern Docks? Don't tell me it's another Roundhill Tunnel and a six month wait for the parts to be manufactured!

Weak bridge joints, there are now protective ramps at each end of the bridge, same problem that affected the Roundhill Tunnels for so long.

They are called expansion joints we fitted them on all bridges and some roads,it allows the movement of the bridges etc,but like all joints they do wear out after some years, and then have to be repaired or even in some cases repaced,.without them in high winds etc there would not be any movement in the bridge and after some time the bridge could come down.
