  This morning I found a heron (?) lurking on our garage roof - it was quite funny because Kermit the semi-resident magpie wasn't afraid of it despite the fact he was a good 3 feet taller!

  He did startle me a bit, I almost dropped my cornflakes. He's been back once since earlier this morning. Undeterred by next doors cat who looked somewhat puzzled having never seen one before! Luckily he can't get to the fish as we have a large pergola thing over the pond and an arch by the back gate thus not allowing anything with that kind of large wingspan in!
