    Paul, how do you extrapolate that from my statement?

    Moving the offices was originally someone else's suggestion but a good one. In fact I understand council workers are moving to Whitfield to be near work. That's their choice, as it is for anyone to live where they want.

    But it may be that people with solid salaries and pensions are being sucked out of the town and to Whitfield, thus helping tilt the balance ever more in Whitfield's favour in its competition with Dover.

    Give the town a fighting chance or knock it down and put it out of its misery and move it lock, stock and barrel up the hill. We can't have two thriving towns in Dover and the sooner the council wake up to this the better.
