A beautiful photo Jacqui, thank you. I feel a painting coming on!
A belated welcome to our new playmate Ernie! Dover has an abundance of gorgeousness, all listed better than I could do it in previous posts on this thread. I think the frustration is that, because it has an abundance, and such potential, it could be so much more. And the responsibility for that lies with our local reps, councils, authorities etc, who let us and the town down very badly, mainly through lack of skill, imagination and flair.
Dover really is fab - we moved here a dozen years ago - despite being warned off by others and the usual bad press - and love it. There are so many good reasons for living here, some practical such as commuting distances and the opportunity to live close to the Grammar Schools at that time, some just personal such as enjoying the sea and the countryside, and loving the house we live in, which is a good example of good old Victorian architecture.
So: yes, Dover is fab but it could be even fabber!
