    (notice the way your thread has already started to drift off in another direction!!)
    Dover is full of history and heritage, surrounded by beautiful countryside and has good access to London and mainland Europe.
    I suspect that like most people we are here because we have a strong affection for the town but like most people we moan (as Jan says) because we know it can be so much better.
