  Yes folkes it the weather rain and wind,rain and wind. Again bad last night feel so sorry about the ships a crew at sea. JUST it has been going on so long this year week after week.I went over to feed the horses at the bay they are geting old now as you know I have been doing it now over 25years same horses one was put down last year two left,they have no cover at all and I feel like trying to do soming about that.I know they are wild but when they are this old and the weather so bad I do feel so sorry for them.But it is not to cold which is a help.

  Its not an easy time for them Vic, but they are wild Horses and they are used to the weather. I hope there is enough tree s and bushes for them to have shelter. I know here in the hills they have and seem to be ok.
  They are lovely Animalsand I am glad we got them in the Hills. Something which makes Dover different too. A little bit of a Town, with a wild touch to it.
  Which site of the wild Horses you looking after Vic? Just curious ;)

  They are over the bay no hills but they have some trees but not many the N/ trust own them and they keep a eye open on them but it looks like this weather has taken the toll on them,They were on the cliff side,but now on the other side of the rd. Its a big area but so open up there,but they been in that area for the pass 25years,before that they were at Sandwich bay,with the ones on the cliffs at Dover,I used to feed them aswell all 9 of them but I cannot do that anymore,The N/Trust know I keep my eyes open on them and it was myself that reported the one that had to be put down. Today OK the suns out

  over this side there are enough wooded areas for animals to take shelter,
  
  what i noticed with our lovely late summer was that the ponies lapped up the sun but the dexter cattle took shelter in the trees during the hottest part of the day.

  I think I took these myself...but alas cant remember for sure as was quite a while back.. Some of the files and details have been lost with various computer changes, particularly recently.
  But the wild horses are a treat for sure, always lovely to see them.Well done for helping to look after them Vic.

  You have somwhere one or two of the ones I look after, Colin took them some years ago .so sad he is no longer with us what a great person he was.All I do keep My eyes open it is the warden that does the work he is very good
