    67 b) There is a TB vaccination that can be used in cattle but as it is impossible to distinguish between the antibodies of a vaccinated or infected cow then it is illegal to use it under EU Directive 78/52/EEC. There is a test being developed to distinguish between the antibodies (first recommended in 1997 !) but it is about 10 years away and would still have to be approved by whichever law we come under then.

    Logic would say test a calf as soon as possible after it is born and then give the vaccine if it is negative, but that still isn't allowed.
