Western Heights Preservation Society - Grant Success
- 29 January 2011 20:3690698We are pleased to announce that WHPS have received a £560 grant from Kent County Council to replace the information board at St Martin's Battery.
The original one was thanks to a Pfizer grant about 7 years ago, but it was unfortunately purposely driven into late last year along with two belonging to the White Cliffs Countryside Project and damaged beyond repair.
It is a key part of our advertising as is is seen by hundreds of people each day that stop up there to enjoy the views. It is hoped to have the replacement installed in the next few weeks.Been nice knowing you :) - 29 January 2011 20:5590700Excellent news.

What would go through some idiot's mind to want to drive into and damage such a sign ? Now they should do community service if caught, but they won't be of course.
