here we have cowslips with an excellent background on the second one, both taken from the drop redoubt.
these are red valerian growing on the walls of cowgate cemetary

Valerian looks nice, but is a pain as it grows anywhere !!
The top two are what all of the Heights should look like if it could all be managed and grazed completely and not get overrun by sycamore.....
Been nice knowing you :)
