Western Heights Autumn Open Weekend - 14/15 July

  Just a few weeks to go until the main open weekend - the weather is waiting for the event so sorry if you are waiting for summer
  
  Slight change of plans this year - the main parking will be on the Grand Shaft Barracks with the stalls and displays either around the Redoubt ditch or in the Grand Shaft courtyard off Snargate Street
  
  On the Sunday there will be a free bus from the town, and various re-enactment groups displaying though the weekend
  
  More details will follow....

  Nah, it's all turn up and go. Open from 10am til 5pm both days. £4 adults and £1 for children, but we have child free vouchers on our flyers that are out and about

  this seems to have slipped down the forum, it all happens this weekend.
  
  for those who are strapped for time the weather forecast is much better for sunday rather than saturday.

  What a washout !!! Despite the weather we still had 250ish hardy visitors that braved the rain to come along, more that I expected !!
  
  Tomorrow the forecast looks better and we have more re-enactors, just hope their powder stays dry

  So sorry it had to rain so bad on this week-end - you'd never expect it normally this time of year.
  
  Another thread tells of flooding in other areas of Dover.
