    What a load of self-rightous twaddle.

    Yes he should not have drunk too much, specially in this age of what we might call a 'new puritanism'.

    It is easily done. How many of us posting here have been to conferences with sometimes long dull speeches or presentations to get through only to imbibe a bit too much in the bar, specially on a hot day or evening. I wont critisise him because I am honest enough to say that I might have done the same thing.

    Besides, the great Winston Churchill pften had a snifter or two too many in the Commons and I am quite sure many, many others have the same.
