Yesterday morning the town centre woke up to the sight of four ‘travellers’ caravans with posh tow cars which had set up camp in the St James car park beside M&S. About 11.45 I was threatened with violence and damage to my vehicle by an oaf in one of the cars unless I moved my car away from where they had established their own little no-go area. Shortly afterwards I reported this offence under s4 of the Public Order Act to the police and received a crime reference number.
By 3 pm, High Court Sheriffs, accompanied by police, had evicted them.
Now why can’t DDC deal with anti-social behaviour as quickly?

That is good news.
It certainly shows that where there is the will events can be dealt with extremely fast.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.
