21:2628742i think that enough is enough now.
will the people that kidnapped our own roger walkden come to terms with the fact that no one will pay the ransom and let him go?
the forum is not the same without him.

21:3228743Howard.
Woger is fit and well. After having released him from his hard earned holiday I have advised him to chill for a couple of days before he gets stuck in again.
Don't worry he's soon to post.

He was that good even Bernard Manning asked for his autograph.

10:0728768Roger is indeed live and well, his first excursion was very sensibly into Blakes emporium for his first taste of freedom since release....

11:3728775it appears that roger will soon be making a public appearance.
sounds a bit like one of those third world leaders that have to appear on the tv to conform that the rebels have not had him shot.

07:4928909Well, thanks for your concern guys, Woger was been weleased !!
Thanks for the 10p valuation Howard, most impressed.
I'm sure you don't want a photo of my feet - shackles or not !
As you may have read on a couple of other threads, Jean and I have spent two weeks in Palma, Majorca, staying with Jeans daughter who lives and works there.
A lovely island and a great city, but the tourists are down in great numbers, especially from Britain.
Thompson were offering a 4 Star Hotel, bed, breakfast and evening meal, reasonably priced drinks and snacks (lunchtimes), a great location at Cala Bona on the East coast, near Cala Millor, for £12.50 per person, per night - that's £25 for a room for two people, dinner, bed and breakfast; incredibly cheap, but very good indeed and because we were staying with Heather at her apartment, we booked it and went there for the first weekend - it would have been cheaper to have gone there for the fortnight, as eating out in most of Majorca's restaurants is quite expensive, certainly more than £12.50 for 3 courses and more than 2 Euros for a pint of Amstel too !
Good holiday and we both enjoyed it; Jean kept quite well, no problems with her dialysis, but it is good to be back and rarin' to go - but where ?
No news on a business support body yet ?
Roger

06:3728943Thanks Bern - shame about the weather, can't have everything can you ?
The weather was great on the day we returned (last Tuesday), but seems to have gone downhill each day - I'm sure the rain is welcomed by all with a garden, me included.
