    I think they are pretty accurate personally, however, we do seem to have our own micorclimate here in Dover/Deal which makes watching the weather forecasts a bit of a lottery. The old seaweed trick doesn't seem to work here as well as it did in Essex either.

    For the annual carnival, I used to take extra precautions by doing a red indian weather ceremony, involving kinnikinnick, with a local "medicine man". We've all seen how good the weather is for Dover Carnival, so don't tell me it doesn't work!
