Firstly, what I wrote is not 100% rubbish.

As Barry also says, the LibDems are in favour of an in/out EU referendum.
Of-course it's their right to campaign to remain in, as long as they recognise the democratic right that the People vote on this important issue, and don't block it, as the Tories do.

Secondly, I hadn't actually been advocating an extra tax on households with assets worth a million pounds or little more, but on the super-rich.
It so happens that the LibDems are more radical than me in this aspect, and say that even a mansion worth at least £1 m should be object of a wealth tax.

So I have no other choice than to support this much more radical view, and that's how a moderate Leveller can become a supporter of a much more radical policy, such as that now being presented by the Liberal Democrats, where even simple millionaires end up paying a wealth tax, and not just the super-rich.

Needless to say, the LibDems are the most dynamic party at this time, and I'd rather support from the sidelines (without political affiliations) some common-sense policies of a party that actually wants to DO something, than parties that just want to do nothing.

Vic, if some people want to take their possessions away in a pillow case and hop to another country, with a pillow case stuffed with money and paper-values, then so be it!
I am here, and I'm here to stay!

And I'll sing you a song
    As we march along
    of Dover by the Sea.
