On the localism agenda, you are correct the cobbled together lot sold out on that some time ago.
On the wider issues such as
Police, just like the NHS the police is in need of reform, to top heavy, a vast amount of savings could be made if changes in this direction were made, but that's a matter for the police and its commissioners.
I'm a great believer in decisions being made as local as possible.
Local govt could aso look at itself and make vast savings
we have 3 councils for Dover we don't need 3, and each costs us a lot of dosh, cutting one or 2 out, big savings.
Govts of all colours have always tried to control from the top, usually by ways of starving its councils of dosh, so they slowly bleed.
Getting back to the post on Western heights, im still unconvinced the MAJORITY of people in Dover are AGAINST any building on the heights
