A nice idea but I fail to see how "parish halls" in Dover can give help such as Vic mentioned to the places that are flooded miles and miles away.
From what I have seen the people in the flooded areas are coping within their own communities extremely well, they have rallied round to help each other in what must be the most awful circumstances one can imagine. The real help they need is now from the professionals like the Environment Agency, insurance companies together with all the other services.
I hope I have understood what you meant above Vic, but can I make a request for you to use paragraphs it would make these long rambling posts so much easier to read.
