    here we go, bonfires at three of these.

    hopefully the cold snap will have relented by then.

    Thursday 16th February. Scrub clearing and bonfire on Whinless Down. Meet at Elms Vale Recreation Car Park at 10.15. Leader Paul Sampson. Tel 07773 619121.

    Sunday 19th February. Scrub clearing and bonfire on the Drop Redoubt Field, Western Heights. This is a joint task day with The Western Heights Preservation Society. Meet at the Cut Off Car Park, North Military Road at 10.15. Leader Paul Sampson,.Tel 07773 619121.

    Wednesday 22nd February. Site maintenance, scrub clearing and bonfire on Whinless Down. Meet at Elms Vale Recreation Car Park at 10.15. Leader Paul Sampson. Tel 07773 619121.

    Wednesday 29th February. Site maintenance at South Foreland Valley, St Margaret's at Cliffe. Meet at the "cattle grid", Lighthouse Road, St Margaret's. Leader Paul Willmott, Tel 07880 706991.

    All volunteers are asked to wear warm and waterproof clothing, stout boots and bring a packed lunch. Tools and gloves provided. Hot drinks brewed on site with light refreshments for the volunteers!
