I did send a long report to Allison, our Town Clerk, regarding criteria and the current list of names that were requested, asking her to put this before the Committee. I understand that there was quite a debate at that meeting, regarding inclusion of names on the War Memorial. I am awaiting a reply to a letter I wrote to Allison on 29 April, requesting information regarding the debate, the reasons why the names should have been declined, and a copy of the documentation that was given to the Committee when they were debating the matter.
The DWMP is totally voluntary, and while Simon and I fund much of the work personally, we do depend on donations and the support of others to continue. Cllr Cowan is a supporter, and that support has enabled us to continue parts of our work in Remembrance of all our Dovorian Fallen that otherwise we would have been unable to do.
