I see there are rumours afoot re one coming to Dover .Mind you the old anti machine is well in motion so could put them off.I always enjoyed my visits to the one in Hythe and the one in Canterbury near to the bus stop.

It would be wonderful if Waitrose were to open in Dover. I suspect for now it is just an aspirational rumour as our demographic still does not match what they want but is definitely heading their way.
I have histroically had a number of conversation with Waitrose about opening in Dover and they have made it clear that they would continue to monitor the local retail situation but the timing/demographic was not right for them at that time

There was going to be one in Sandwich near the railway station, but they pulled out about the same time Pfizer announced their reduction in staffing there.

Maybe they will build it on the Connaught Barracks site, if you can afford those houses, you are the sort of customer Waitrose would want

If Waitrose were considering this area they would probably favour Deal and the London contingent- I doubt however that they will speculate anywhere in this corner. Wrong demographic.

I suspect that when DHB build the Kentish Dubai on the DWDR a Waitrose will surely follow - though if it's on DHB's 'private' land they probably won't allow Dovorians in, other than to stack shelves!
