Nothing to do with elections
I've just entered a couple of pics in an online competition and hope some of you might use the links below to vote for them - pretty please! Having said that there are some stunning pics on there so I'm not expecting to win but would like to get near the top.
And I'm sure from what we've all seen on here that there are many forumites who could enter super pics, and put their own links on this thread for us to vote for them - there are only three of Dover so far. You are allowed five entries -I had three more which were local ones, all coastal views, but the website froze while I was uploading and wouldn't let me add or edit anything I'd written

.

I'll try the link out tonight when I've got some spare time, and see if I can enter some pictures.
Is your second picture near Ramsgate, Ray?

I opted to vote for the topmost picture. By the looks of the 'favourites' it is a pity there is no dog in the foreground, but the light is special. Good luck all.

Thanks all, hopefully we'll get some more entered by forumites, the theme is Journeys so there should be plenty pics related to that theme around here.
The top pic is near Reykjavik, the bottom is Lerwick in the Shetland Isles with Marco Polo in the back and the local ferry in the foreground .

All the best Ray, nice photos. When you say a local ferry, do you mean the longship!

Thanks again all.
The real local ferry is just visible behind the longboat and is really weird. You can just about see it's symmetrical about the middle and doesn't turn, just goes backwards and forwards with two sets of controls and the bridge crew just going to the opposite side. It must be a time and fuel saver but I can't see it working on the channel.
like p&os new ferry row your own. Have voted good luck.
