It would indeed be a very orderly queue.
A CRB check for either position, a short questionnaire on whether one has ever been 'spoken brusquely-to' by the Police and if one knows of any current accusations or investigations against one. for one post, and a word or two that someone who knows one might use to describe one for the other position, and two references for each, with one application stipulating that these should not be from either friends or family.
If these requirements are not there explicitly to winnow the wheat from the chaff, they do a very good impression thereof.
All in all, what is being demand is a series of eminently saleable attributes that would allow one to fly-off the actual job-search list.
Am I then amiss to conclude that any who have time to spare because they cannot find employment may well not match-up to the standards required for volunteering, and that the available pool of recruits may not be as large as one might imagine?
