Some serious campers were seen early one morning - but I don't think their final destination was Dover.
At the Cruise Terminal the AIDAblu has it's own attractions. For instance, this little chap welcomes passengers returning to the ship after a day out in the town.
... and then the ship provides bikes for cycling tours of the area (I've counted as many as fifty of them). Not much chance of serious shopping here.
