The issue now is whether the parties in national and local Government can deliver their promises, but it seems that with unemployment rising all the time, no prospect of a better future, financial reductions of the spending budgets, people are loosing confidence in the politicians.
It will be interesting to see what the other party-councillor candidates have to offer in their campaign running up to May. All three main parties either have been until recently, or are, in the government, and either cannot or will not offer something new.
But if they do, we'll see soon, as May approaches. The only way Vic can challenge other candidates is by having popular views concerning Dover, which appeal to the people, and offer an alternative.
