  getting back to the issue of independent councillors, the big two parties have abused local authority money in the past, mainly in urban centres, the red with their community centres and forums to get the vote they wanted, the blues perpetrated one of, if not the worst one at westminster council, jerrymandering the housing to maximise their vote.
  
  they cannot do it today as there is not the spare dosh to waste, hence no need for party lines anymore.
