    Also I find it a bit hard to feel celebratory when extremism seems to be making a resurgence across the globe.

    It's almost like we learn nothing as a species.


    Seeing people ‘celebrating’ the end of WW2 whilst out today, failed to produce the euphoria that many felt it would engender. It was rather depressing to see some that remembered the past sitting quietly outside making the effort to celebrate in these troubled times.

    Freedom then was really earned by much effort and sacrifices. Currently it is just a waiting game for many who survived the war.............
