What a nasty bunch some of you are, you need to get your facts right before you make such comments. The reason the Mayor was not invited to the wreath laying ceremony was because we were told by email ( which we still have by the way ) that no one would be available to attend the ceremony because they - the Mayor - would be at the event on the seafront. Paul Watkins was asked & accepted willingly. As for secrecy Jan Higgins anyone could have laid a wreath & attended it was well promoted on FB, we may be a petty clique but we get things done something DTC doesn't seem able to do. At the ceremony our lady in charge offered to add the Mayor to the list of wreath layers more than once & extremely politely this was turned down. Sadly the town clerk decided to rudely walk on in the middle of a young college pupils reading of a wartime poem & lay a wreath, it was noticed by quite a few people & the comments have not been favourable. Why can't you people accept the fact that we've done more in 2 days than DTC has done in a year. Our celebration in Pencester was a fantastic event so many people attended sadly the rain didn't help but it didn't stop us & I might add neither will your nasty comments & jealous remarks, we won't go away & fully intend to be thorns in the side of DTC until you start to work for the people that have put you there, oh & petty clique comes to mind when reading your remarks as well .
