  the problem is that the area is impossible to police properly paul - far too large and even a police patrol car would see next to nothing.
  
  it is down to those of us who use it to be extra vigilant and encourage others to do so.
  
  i make a point now when i see someone up there to advise then that most gates have phone numbers to ring in the event of criminal damage/ dogs disturbing the animals etc.
  
  if there was ever a chance of a cctv camera being put up there it would have to be drop redoubt road in my view.
  
  not just to protect the fortifications but to stop fly tipping and illicit parties that clearly happen there.
