23 April 2016 09:37313168I could never understand why it happened.It was rumoured that they were to be demolished to make extra car parking for the hospital .I could understand if they were old run down propertys like we used to play in when we were kids,but these are fairly modern houses no older than around 20 years and fairly well made;.Its such a waste.Jan Higgins likes this - 23 April 2016 09:44313169I thought the residents were evicted to make way for staff at the new hospital when it opened.

23 April 2016 09:44313170Incredibly inaccurate report as usual; the houses were boarded up in January and have been getting broken in to since, one was being used to deal drugs, at least one was set on fire in February.
All the upper windows where left uncovered and have all had rocks through them.
Residents have been complaining on a constant basis since January and it has finally been dealt with, though they have only refitted the steel shutters to the lower floors and cleared some of the rubbish.Arte et Marte - 23 April 2016 11:28313171I think you will find out they are to be pulled down but they were very nice .
