Had a walk around this morning and saw these warning notices from DDC to property owners.
Fanum house now completely gone.
The bricks pictured are on the site at the corner of Castle St and Woolcomber St.

Very interesting. It is utterly astonishing that the old Crypt site has been untouched for decades.

Good to see those Howard.
I think that's partly due to the bit below ground being listed. Who asked EH to list it I don't know; maybe it was also to do with the people who died in the fire there, but I do agree Judith, that it is a disgraceful sight and site.

It is not a very attractive memorial to those who died. Perhaps there should be some recognition of that tragedy in a plaque on a wall near by.
