This is an interesting thread which I wish somebody had started last week as it explains an incident which I know now that I misunderstood at the time!
I went down to visit a friend in Sussex last week who took me to a place near a village called Balcombe where there was a demonstration against fracking..I didn't know what to say when he asked me if I was against fracking, as to the best of my knowledge I had never tried it, so I said that I was willing to give it a go.
He said it involved drilling and pumping a chemical fluid into a well at a high pressure which would shatter the rock strata and................ It all sounded rather dangerous to me so at that point I didn't stay to hear the rest and left rather hurriedly!
What must he have thought of me?
