Your Community - Your Choice
Help for Dover, Sandwich and Deal
Marie Curie Cancer Care is holding a meeting to introduce a new project to help the communities of Dover, Sandwich and Deal. On Tuesday 15th November from 7.00 - 8.30 pm., The Dover Town Hall will be the venue for Marie Curie to talk to community members about developing Fundraising Groups in Dover, Sandwich and Deal to raise much needed funds for the Kent Nurse Appeal.
The charity is reaching out to communities throughout Kent and inviting them to learn how they can share in raising funds to increase the amount of totally free nursing care available for the terminally ill. To date, we have successfully established groups in Tunbridge Wells, Whitstable and Medway. It's now the turn of Dover and its neighbours Deal and Sandwich, to have the opportunity to become involved with helping Marie Curie Cancer Care provide more nurses for people wishing to have free end of life care in the privacy of their own home.
Community Fundraising Groups are designed to give supporters the chance to choose how they raise funds whilst remaining securely under the Marie Curie Cancer Care umbrella. Years of experience, together with countless testimonies, constantly reinforce the urgent need to continue the expansion of this unique service.
More nurses will give Marie Curie Cancer Care the ability to offer more people the choice to die in their own home surrounded by their loved ones.
