    Liz & Kevin Payne from Betteshanger are the organizers of this years KMF Community Dog Show. This has become a very popular part of our free community event and is growing each year. Don't leave your best friend's at home bring them along with you and you could even win a prize.





    Announcing this years Kent Miners Festival's
    "Kent Community Coal Queen Pageant"
    kindly organized by John Trickey and his Deal, Walmer & Kingsdown Carnival Association Team and is being held in the Betteshanger Social & Community Clubhouse, The Circle, Betteshanger.

    There are 3 competitions;

    Mini Miss (aged 5-7), Junior (8-12), Senior (13-24).

    Entrants need to register on the day in clubhouse before 12.30pm or forms can be printed off from http://www.kentminersfestival.org.uk/?page_id=758

    The competition will take place from 1 pm onwards.
    Parking is via Colliers way, shown on map.
    Please allow sufficient time to park and walk to the Club.

    Mini Miss and Junior entrants are to be 'natural' ,party dresses are recommended.

    Entrants for the Senior competition should wear evening dresses and give a self presentation.

    Entrants are not restricted to distance boundaries as this is an independent, occasional title.

    All are welcome.



    This year's Kent Miners Festival is coming back to Betteshanger.
    However, this time it will be held on the old Betteshanger Colliery site, where the last pit to close in Kent, once stood so proud.
    31st August 2015. 10am-5pm at Betteshanger Community Park, access via Colliers Way (A258), Betteshanger Business Park, Nr DEAL. CT14 0LT
    Visitors arriving from Sandwich direction will need to take the 3rd turning at the Miners Statue Roundabout and those arriving from Deal direction will need to take 1st turning at the same roundabout.

    Disabled Blue Badge holders will be allowed access via The Circle with residents only parking in The Circle, with parking KMF Voucher on view.
