  A number of thugs managed to get into the Cairo Museum through the roof, smash some artefacts and rip the heads off two mummies. Let's hope the army can contain the place and prevent any further break-ins to protect the exhibits. The loss of these is a crime against our cultural heritage, not just Egypts, and would be a colossal blow to tourism when things have finally settled down. The incident has a horrible echo of the wholesale destruction of the National Museum of Iraq's priceless treasures.
