  Nationally the situation is a disaster... 2.51 million people are now unemployed. A further 80,000 young people are just joining that non-illustrious list. I saw Ed Balls on Newsnight last night and he said he had been warning all along that they (the government) were cutting too fast and too deep and this is the consequence. You know I am beginning to believe him. Other voices are now beginning to call for a softening of the government stance.
  
  David Cameron's promised private sector jobs have not materialised. There is no money washing around the economy, no money in peoples pockets therefore no demand created...
