    I have repeatedly stated that the benefits system is flawed and needs sorting out.

    However, as with prior attempts, by all parties, this is not the way.
    This scheme will not reduce the benefits bill, it will cost more to implement, than it will ever recover, so again I ask the question.

    Why go ahead with a scheme that they know is going to cost more than it is going to save?
