I have to make a smug interjection on this thread and say that I won twice recently.
There is always that moment before you open the envelope, could this be the one, the big one, the million!! As you tear back the envelope in eager anticipation of the wealth to come, to a future life in Monte Carlo...it turns out to be £25.
The dreams crash on the floor and splinter like a piece of bone china...and you say to yourself..there is always next time.
By the way, they have dropped the value of the prizes. Those £25 basic wins used to be £50. Thats what the financial markets and the falling value of currency dun for us... its the markets wot dunnit!
Yes I have a few old ones in a box somewhere from a previous life long ago.
