Hm, but mind, some threads do come up specifically on the e.u., or on politics, so it's hard not to comment on these threads without referring to the question in merit! Yesterday PaulB posted a thread on the e.u.., with specific reference to what people might think of it, reference to the Tories. Not to join in would be somewhat out of range. I joined in, for example, and gave what I believe to be a fair view, while also bringing forward some discrepencies in e.u. policies.
Marek posted a thread on imigration, again I joined in, as the thread was there to join in on.
Also, whenever I post a thread on Dover and present a proposal for Dover or the immediate Garden - you know what I mean - our countryside, there is ofen the odd coment stating that everything, anything and whatever is not possible because there is no money to invest in this, that and the other, because of endles spending cuts. So again, the theme is reverted to politics, as it is owing to a political situation that this no-money situation and answer excludes projects, no mater how much many forumiyes say they are interested, or that they themselves have also prsented the same or similar ideas.
I personally have dedicated many threads just to Dover and have categorically avoidd mentioning politics in them.
