Sid, your statement that the e.u. is necessary to prevent wars within Europe is, look, I don't want to use your terms such as 'rant, drivel', as I rather keep these for the politicians when they deserve it, but it certainly merits a thread on my part. It's the reason why I wrote my last thread, when you stated that young people have no problems with the e.u. Your statements concern themes of enormous importance, so I like to keep decent in terms with you, even though you often use words like 'rant' to what my views are.
May-be I should say, Sid, that the e.u. carried out, albeit in the name of Nato, ugly bombing campaigns in Europe in the 1990's! That the export of weapons around the world from e.u. states is so ugly and enormous and contradictory to what you state. That children are not born in western countries under e.u. dictatorship because the parents can't afford it, is, in my view, a form of genocide! And supplanting us people in our own Country (countries when referring to western Europe too) is downright ugly!
Also, until very recently, the Polish and Czeck governments were trying to spark off a cold war with Russia asking for American missiles and radar stations to be placed on their territory. Becaue President Obama then got in and sent the Polish and Czeck governments packing, the cold-war didn'tbreak out. It wasn't the e.u. governments who poured cold water over these war-mongering provocateurs, they were all for it!
