The post you are reporting:
Immigration without a green card sounds fine, but if they are given out like sweets. as has been the case under Labour, then what is the difference? I would have preferred UKIP to say, a total freeze on immigration for three years, excluding exceptional circumstances, while the siutation is evaluated.
This to be allied to a policy of forcing companies to lower their demands for employee qualifications for vacant roles. There is a huge chunk of workforce sitting at home and excluded from working due to the demands of UK industry now wanting BSc's/MBA's even for the most junior of jobs. A programme of promoting the value of an experienced or learning workforce would help change the dynamic and get people back to work/into work, thereby increasing tax revenues, reducing demand on state benefits and help promote a feel good factor again.
£25 a week increase for pensioners. Great idea and long overdue, but how will it be funded?
Locally run schools/Hospitals/Police Force? No thanks. With no disrespect whatsoever, there is hardly a person living in Dover capable of running any of those, either singly or as a group. Again with no disrespect, I wouldn't be happy with local politicians running those things for Dover either. Why? Well, just look around you and tell me Dover is being well run. Has it ever been? Hmm. That's my point.
No mention of how UKIP plan to deal with the complete financial mess Labour will leave the country in then Vic, or is that to follow?
