Personally think those UKIP policies are tosh, but, they are public now thanks to Vic. Not so the witterings of a dying governement or the pretenders to the throne and the boys in yellow.
Great documentary on tv tonight, Andrew Marr talking about the Thatcher years. What happy days when our nation was proud and being run by those elected instead of a bunch of union boys with hidden agendas. Love her or hate her (there is no middle ground) we must accept that we are stronger as a nation because of her tenure in No.10. It wasn't all good admittedly, but there was no spin, double dealing or lying as we have seen in the last decade. heart on the sleeve politics from the great lady. If only we could find another like her.
Today someone even said to me how awful the NUS strike was and blamed the outcome on dear Maggie. My reply, "Yep, she brought an end to onboard bullying and rape of female staff, an end to fraudulent onboard working practices and an end to all male staff on the tills. I can understand why the seaMEN went on strike. Just so typical that a lady would be wanting to change those working practices". There was silence thereafter.
